Junior Cricket at Templeton Cricket Club

Templeton Cricket Club boasts a proud history of a highly successful junior program serving the Wantirna community. Many Templeton junior cricketers have progressed to long and successful careers both at the club and higher levels of cricket. The junior program at Templeton provides a pathway for children through to senior cricket via an In2Cricket program, U10s, U12, U14s and U16s sides.

Junior Cricket Program Objectives

1.     To be the strongest junior club in the RDCA by recruiting new players, retaining current members and providing an environment that permits players to realise their potential

2.     To be a sustainable source of young, skilled cricketers that transition to senior cricket at Templeton CC

3.     To be recognised as the most professional junior club in the RDCA

4.     To provide a safe club environment that encourages enjoyment of the game


2014/15 Cricket Teams

In season 2014/15 the club will field the following teams with both male and female players welcome:

  • Under 10’s (Friday evenings);
  • Under 12’s (Friday evenings);
  • Under 14’s (Saturday mornings); and
  • Under 16’s (Saturday mornings).


All registered players receive a complimentary playing shirt along with the opportunity to attend junior cricket clinics run by accredited coaches.


In2Cricket Program

The MILO In2Cricket program offers children 5 to 8 years of age the opportunity to kick start their cricket career, learn lots of new cricket skills like batting, bowling, catching and throwing, as well as social skills allowing them to make new friends and most importantly – HAVE FUN!!

Each player that registers will receive a starter pack worth $65 which includes exclusive items such as;

  • A multi-purpose Backpack,
  • A lightweight cricket Bat,
  • A soft rubber cricket Ball,
  • A SPF 30+ T-Shirt,
  • A sunsmart Bucket Hat,
  • MILO Giveaways and more


Beginning in November, the program will run for a period of 10 weeks with a BBQ offered at the conclusion of many sessions.

Registration Fee: $40 per childLocation:    Templeton Reserve, Wantirna

Day:            6.00 PM – 7:00 PM  Friday evenings

Dates:         7 November -12 December 2014 (6 weeks),30 January– 20 February 2015   (4 weeks)
